LIMEBURNERS WALKWAY FEASIBILITY STUDY
Greenways are intended to provide alternative, quieter more experiential route to facilities and destinations. In recognition of this, Upper Harbour Local Board has identified a potential coastal route walkway connection from Limeburner to Marina view Reserve as part of the The Upper Harbour Greenway Network. Bespoke were engaged by Auckland Council to evaluate and prepare a feasibility study to inform the development of a walk/cycleway between Limeburners Reserve and Marina View Reserve path connections. This included investigation into route opportunities and constraints, assessment of coastal inundation and sea level rise, planning implications, alignment with transport infrastructure, and additional investigation requirements to validate route. Information was then mapped and presented in a manner that enables stakeholders to clearly understand development considerations and feasibility of establishing a network connection between Limeburner to Marina View Reserve.
