ROYAL OPERA HOUSE OMAN

Bespoke were involved since 2005 with the development of the exterior and landscape spaces around this landmark new opera house. Prior to this Lee Brazier completed concept and developed design in employment with WATG. Located in Muscat, Oman, the landscapes of the building are a complex arrangement of spaces including formal arrival sequences, urban plazas, formal gardens and open park areas. Contracting to WATG, Bespoke provided landscape architectural services within part of a comprehensive design team including architects, civil and traffic engineers, acoustic specialists and interior designers. The project completed construction in 2011, and was the joint winner in the Leisure & Tourism category of the MEED Awards in 2012.
